ARCHIMEDE SELECTED FOR THE
ESA BIC BRINDISI PROGRAM

Archimede is among the six companies selected for the ESA BIC Brindisi, the space innovation incubator promoted by the European Space Agency (ESA) and managed by the Aerospace Technology District (DTA). This milestone confirms the technological potential of the company and opens new horizons in the field of space applications.

The Role of ESA BIC Brindisi

ESA BIC Brindisi is the first incubator for innovative startups in Southern Italy. As part of the European network of ESA Business Incubation Centres, it provides support to selected startups in the development of innovative projects involving products or services based on space technologies (such as satellite data, navigation tools, and communication systems) as well as space technologies adapted for terrestrial use (spin-outs).

The program offers technical and managerial support, access to advanced infrastructures and laboratories, funding and networking opportunities to accelerate the development of high-impact innovation projects.

Archimede Project:
Space, IoT and Decentralization

Admission to the ESA Business Incubation Center (BIC) in Brindisi is a unique opportunity for Archimede, enabling the startup to advance a strategic and innovative project: the development of a digital platform for decentralized applications with satellite modules (communication and positioning) for IoT systems. This solution aims to facilitate the adoption of space technologies in a rapidly expanding market, increasing reliability and scalability.

Thanks to the support of ESA BIC Brindisi, the startup will be able to accelerate research and development activities, refine its proprietary technologies, and experiment with new applications in a highly specialized context.

A fundamental step for startup's growth

Admission to ESA BIC Brindisi represents an important milestone in the startup’s consolidation journey. It’s a unique opportunity to expand its reach, engage with institutional and industrial partners, and contribute to the growth of the space sector, increasingly central to European innovation strategies.

“We are thrilled to be admitted to the program,” says Riccardo Puglisi, CEO and founder of Archimede. “This is an extraordinary opportunity for us to develop increasingly advanced solutions for the space sector, fully aligned with our ambition to become a benchmark for technological innovation.”

A special thanks

“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the District Technology Aerospace (DTA), the European Space Agency (ESA), the Italian Space Agency, and the Puglia Region for their support and trust,” states Riccardo Puglisi. “Becoming part of such a stimulating and cutting-edge ecosystem represents a further incentive to innovate and grow within the space sector.”

Looking ahead

Archimede is now preparing to embark on a new phase of development, aware of the challenges but also of the great opportunities that ESA BIC Brindisi can offer. The mission is clear: to continue innovating, explore new technological frontiers, and contribute concrete solutions to the advancement of the space industry.
