Archimede at HeySun 2026: connectivity and monitoring for green energy

21 SEP 2026 · ARCHIMEDE WORLD

From September 30 to October 2, 2026, Archimede will be exhibiting at HeySun 2026, the Energy Transition Expo hosted at SiciliaFiera in Misterbianco, Catania.

Over the three-day event, the team will showcase ArchMesh and the technologies developed by Archimede to enable connectivity, monitoring and remote control for distributed infrastructure and assets, including those located in isolated and off-grid environments.

Archimede’s participation in HeySun comes at a time of strong growth for the company. In 2026, the startup closed a €1.5 million Seed round, led by Primo Capital SGR, with the aim of accelerating the industrialization of ArchMesh, expanding pilot projects with enterprise customers and supporting international growth.

HeySun 2026: innovation and new markets for the energy transition

Now in its third edition, HeySun aims to serve as a key meeting point for companies, institutions, research organizations and energy-sector operators in the Mediterranean.

The 2026 edition will focus on the main challenges and opportunities of the energy transition, ranging from renewable energy and energy storage to electric mobility, digitalization, infrastructure management, maintenance and security.

The collaboration with ICE – the Italian Trade Agency will further strengthen the international dimension of the event, with more than 30 buyers from ten countries and approximately 400 B2B meetings between Italian companies and international operators.

For Archimede, HeySun therefore represents a valuable opportunity to engage with companies and partners on the emerging needs related to the monitoring, connectivity and management of distributed energy infrastructure.

ArchMesh: connectivity and control where traditional networks cannot reach

At the heart of Archimede’s presence at HeySun will be ArchMesh, the modular plug-and-play kit developed for the remote management and monitoring of critical infrastructure in off-grid environments or in areas where terrestrial connectivity is unavailable or unreliable.

ArchMesh integrates predictive energy management, multi-constellation satellite connectivity and a low-code software platform into a single technology stack, enabling operators to collect data, monitor assets and perform bidirectional remote control.

This capability is particularly relevant in an energy landscape where infrastructure is becoming increasingly distributed. Solar farms, wind farms, energy storage systems, linear infrastructure and other assets are often located in hard-to-reach areas or in locations that are not adequately covered by terrestrial networks.

In these environments, being able to access asset data and operate systems remotely can improve operational continuity, reduce the need for on-site interventions and provide faster visibility into asset status and performance.

An ecosystem of technologies for connected energy

Alongside ArchMesh, visitors to HeySun will also be able to discover other projects developed by Archimede in the fields of energy, mobility and advanced connectivity.

E-Mobility Spacelink

The project was developed by Archimede together with Planetek Italia and Arthur D. Little as part of ESA’s Space for Electromobility call. The solution combines Earth Observation and SatCom technologies with modular electric vehicle charging infrastructure, with a particular focus on remote areas or locations where the electricity and communications networks are unstable or unavailable.

ArchMesh Solar Gateway: turning photovoltaic systems into connected data sources

HeySun 2026 will also mark the presentation of ArchMesh Solar Gateway, a solution designed to make photovoltaic installations more open, connected and easier to integrate with external digital systems.

The gateway collects operational data directly from photovoltaic equipment such as inverters, meters and compatible sensors, using an RS485 wired connection, and makes that information available to monitoring platforms, cloud services, business applications and IoT systems.

Rather than replacing or modifying the inverter, ArchMesh Solar Gateway adds a new layer of connectivity and interoperability. Data such as voltage, current, instantaneous power, energy production or exchange, frequency, power factor and system status can therefore be used beyond the manufacturer’s native ecosystem.

Depending on the installation environment, data can be transmitted through Wi-Fi, LoRa or LTE. This makes the solution suitable for very different scenarios: from buildings already equipped with local connectivity to remote or distributed photovoltaic sites where traditional network access may be limited or unavailable.

Optional GPS integration can also associate each ArchMesh node with its geographic position, which is particularly useful for operators managing multiple distributed systems or installations across different sites.

By making photovoltaic data easier to access and integrate, ArchMesh Solar Gateway can support applications ranging from customized energy dashboards and remote monitoring to multi-site management, facility management and integration with other building or industrial systems.

From energy to agritech: remote assets always under control

ArchMesh applications extend beyond the energy sector.

The same architecture can be used for the monitoring of crops and irrigation systems, pipelines, distributed infrastructure, industrial assets and other remote installations.

The common requirement across these use cases is the ability to collect reliable data and maintain remote monitoring and control capabilities even where traditional connectivity is unavailable or insufficiently stable.

These are precisely the environments ArchMesh has been designed for: at the edge of the connected world, where operational continuity and remote access to data become essential requirements.
