HydroEYE, Archimede's POC for Irritec, wins Le Village Innovation Awards
The startup Archimede has won the Innovation Award at the Le Village Awards thanks to HydroEYE, the Proof of Concept developed in collaboration with Irritec, a leading company in Sicily in the development, production, and distribution of precision and sustainable drip irrigation systems for agriculture, gardening, and landscaping.
The winning PoC was announced during the award ceremony held in Milan on January 29, 2026. On this occasion, Riccardo Puglisi, CEO of Archimede, received the award and presented the project, illustrating the features and value of HydroEYE. This recognition confirms the startup’s commitment to developing advanced and sustainable technological solutions capable of addressing complex challenges, especially in difficult and remote operational contexts.
The Innovation Award at Le Village Awards
Le Village Awards was created to highlight the best collaborations between startups and partners within Le Village by CA ecosystem, developed in 2025 as part of the V-Lab PoC Edition program. This national initiative by Crédit Agricole Italia is dedicated to partners who drive technological evolution and innovation across the territory. The initiative celebrates projects that successfully transform the meeting of entrepreneurial vision and industrial expertise into concrete, high-impact solutions.
The first edition, held in Milan on January 29, 2026, awarded HydroEYE as the best partner–startup collaboration. This recognition testifies the presence of innovative excellence in Sicily and the ability of this ecosystem to bring real innovation into business models.
The Award winning PoC: HydroEYE
The PoC winner of Le Village Awards Innovation Prize is a project developed in collaboration between Archimede and Irritec, a leading Sicilian company specializing in the design, production, and distribution of precision and sustainable drip irrigation systems for agriculture, gardening, and landscaping.
HydroEYE aims to monitor irrigation systems in remote areas or locations lacking traditional connectivity, using a satellite-based IoT platform. The system uses solar-powered sensors to optimize irrigation, detect potential leaks, and improve water resource management efficiency.
The project stood out for its technological maturity and the international scope of the proposed solution. Thanks to this recognition, Archimede and Irritec will participate in VivaTech, one of Europe’s leading events dedicated to innovation and high technology, scheduled to take place in Paris from June 17 to 20, 2026.
